The American Battle Monuments Commission will be conducting ash tree removal at Normandy American Cemetery along the road leading to the cemetery’s entrance from January 12, 2026, to January 15, 2026, for the first phase of the project. The work is part of ongoing horticultural maintenance to preserve the landscape and ensure safety for visitors and staff. Approximately 150 trees will be removed along the road due to ash dieback disease which weakens tree branches and eventually kills the trees. We will replace the trees that will be removed with species from a list provided by the local authorities.
